Telehealth / Virtual Service Delivery
What Is Telehealth?
Telehealth, or Virtual Service Delivery, lets us provide care and support for you without an in-person visit. Telehealth is done primarily online with internet access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Telehealth saves you valuable time by not having to travel to a provider’s clinic and there’s also no issues with organising transport to the appointment. Many people also enjoy the added benefit of not having people coming into your home environment.
Telehealth gives you more choice and control over how you access services as most providers, such as counsellors; medical and allied health professionals; coach/mentors and support coordinators are happy to communicate with you this way. It also gives you more choice and control over who you choose for support as the provider can be anywhere in Australia or even the world!
How Do I Access Telehealth?
We are happy to organise telehealth services for you and this will mean that your appointment can take place anywhere as long as you have access to the following:
- A computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, which has a webcam and microphone, (most devices have these built into them).
- Access to the internet
- Somewhere that you relax and feel comfortable having a chat
Once the appointment has been setup, we will send you an invitation link so that you can join the chat. You just need to click this link and it will automatically take you through to a virtual room where we can chat face to face.
We typically use Zoom, MS Teams or Facetime, but we can also use other telehealth services if you have one that you are already comfortable with as it’s all about you! If you need help using any of these services, please let us know and we will help you with the setup and continue to support you through the process.
